Accommodations

Nassau, Paradise Island, Cable Beach & Western New Providence

Although Downtown Nassau is the center of commerce and the hub of activity, there are very few accommodation options, since most vacationers opt to be closer to the beaches and palm trees that The Bahamas is known for. Paradise Island offers a wide range of options for families, with plenty of activities and beautiful beaches to play on. Cable Beach and Western New Providence offer a quieter escape with both all-inclusive resorts and boutique hotels.

Prices reflect high season (November through April) double occupancy rates. Expect lower rates throughout the summertime and non-holidays. Rates are not inclusive of 7.5% VAT and any additional resort fees. Prices are subject to change.

Downtown Nassau

Towne Hotel

The Towne Hotel is quirky and modest. Walk in and you’ll be greeted by Max, the hotel’s resident blue macaw. The Talking Stick restaurant and bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to try their famous Planter’s Punch cocktail upon arrival. Bahamian artwork adorns the lobby and is scattered throughout the entire building.  A beautiful courtyard with a pool is surrounded by 46 fully-equipped exterior entry rooms, and if you’re looking for sunshine, you can relax on the sun deck on the top floor. It’s tucked away on a quiet street, but you’re in the heart of downtown.

The British Colonial

The British Colonial Hilton Nassau is located front and center in Downtown Nassau between Junkanoo Beach and Pompey Square on Bay St. It’s situated in a great location for accessing all that the downtown area has to offer. There is a small beach in front of the hotel with lounge chairs and thatched umbrella shades, and the use of kayaks and paddleboards is complimentary for guests. The original hotel was built in 1899 by Henry Flagler but submitted to fire in 1921. A new hotel was built to replicate its predecessor. The stately entry lobby emits a classic old-time setting upon entry, and tastefully decorated modern rooms offer striking views of the harbor or of Downtown Nassau. Upgrade to executive room or suite and get access to the Executive Lounge, business and meeting spaces.

For elegance and historical charm

Graycliff Hotel

It is not often one can say they have slept in the same room as royalty. With a registrar of guests such as Winston Churchill, the Duke and Dutchess of Windsor and Lord Mountbatten, Graycliff Hotel has regularly hosted royalty and celebrities since the beginning. The building was built by a former pirate in the 1720’s as his private residence. In 1844 it was advertised as Nassau’s first Inn, offering guests comfortable accommodations, meals and the use of a carriage. The property was purchased in 1973 by the Garzaroli family, and it now spans two generations of premier hospitality. The rooms are spacious and stately with a high attention to detail of the historic period. Four poster beds, antique furniture and an expansive colonial style balcony overlooks West Hill St with glimpses of the harbour.
